Spring is in the Air!
Detroit Villages Page
Hello Everyone. I'm sitting in the upstairs at Cass Community looking out at a sunny 60 degree day. This is just what the doctor order to chase away the winter blues. Thanks be to God! I hope this message finds you well. Special thanks to everyone who made it out to the last Detroit Villages. We had a wonderful turn out and a great conversation.
This month we'll be sharing our meal and conversation with Ron Spann. Ron was the rector (much like a priest) of Church of the Messiah. Church of the Messiah was a large intentional Christian Community on the east side in the 1970's and 80's. He also serves on the Advisory Board for CCDA. He will be sharing with us about his time with Church of the Messiah and said he would like to talk about whatever we'd like to talk about. Come with your questions and thoughts about community, common purse and income sharing, working in a cross-cultural context, working with the institutional church and the city and anything else you've been thinking about. This is definitely a night you won't want to miss!
As usual, there we'll kick it off with a potluck, so please bring a dish to share as you are able. We'll be at Cass Community Church, hopefully upstairs this time. We look forward to seeing you there! Call if you need more info!
