Detroit Villages Monthly Celebration - NOVEMBER
Saturday November 28th will be our monthly Community Celebration.
Detroit Villages is a covenant of Christian communities and individuals living intentionally in the city of Detroit (and Hamtramck/Highland Park). Our monthly celebrations are a time for us to gather together to share food, what's happening in our lives, conversation on issues relevant to our life together in the city, and prayer. This is our time to invite our sisters and brothers that share our heart for the city. We are excited to invite you to this month's gathering!
Our conversation topic this month is white privilege, as it relates to urban ministry and community. We are excited and honored to have Jim Perkinson come share his knowledge and insights on this topic that is near and dear to his heart. We ask that you follow the link below to an article recently published in Geez Magazine. This will hopefully get your mind thinking about this topic before you come.

Also, our celebrations are potlucks, so please bring some food or drink to share as you are able. There is usually vegetarian and vegan options if you need them.
