Session 2 continued,...

How is PURECAUSE being smarter about people-resources, than your usual volunteer org? They are getting people to help promote and help them get donations by using world wide web, to solicit funds by advertisement on Face book, You-tube, Twitter, and etc,.. Most volunteer groups just go around the neighborhood, and call . But, in this day and time the world wide web is a better tool to get people to help your cause. They are not limited and they are giving you useful industry work experience while they also help charitable projects.

In what creative ways might you engage people in your work at your ministry site?

By putting information , in my church bulletins to get people to come visit, and maybe do something with our children by having a fun day, which will bring more kids to interact and learn from the positive ways we teach our kids. I can get like my brother in law to come speak to the kids about fire safety , he's a work for the Det. Fire Dept, and we did have the local fire dept. come speak and show the kids the fire truck and how it all works , and tell them what they do.

What are some gifts that people may have that have rarely been tapped to support your site's work? Mr.Sims( Our Music Director). He is excellent at Music , and art.The children have have art with him a couple of times, but I think that should be a everyday thing in the future for it can help bring the artist out in them to maybe this might could be a great skill they could have with practice. I think they should have had cooking class with Mr Wellman, for we did at the camp, to get them ready to be able to take care of themselves.

1. Engage one person or make plans to engage one person in some creative, in-person, gift-centered work for your site.
We all did , and we had an ending program that showed that. Ms. Connie ( the art teacher) had them make t shirts with painted leaves , doves and crosses ,they looked beautiful , and unique. The intern Ms. Weade taught the little ones sign language to Awesome God. The other two interns Deborah and Tito taught the kids a skit to Noah's Ark , and a dance to Joyful Joyful. Last , but not least, me , an intern as well taught my children haiku's.The music teacher, Mr. Sims, taught them plenty of songs, like Little David, This Little Light of Mine, Syahamba, and Kum Ba Ya. Many churches came to show us the great charity giving and excellent cooking skills .The churches that came were the following Methodist churches listed below: Dexter, First United, Second Grace,Royal Oak First,Embury, St. John, and Dear born First, without them we wouldn't have had scrumptious lunches everyday. We also had the Greening of Detroit show them how to recycle and plant plants.
