Session 3

(chapter 1) I think outsiders are just people who like to do their own thing. Everyone is an outsider to someone else. You can't force Christian on anyone. If someone doesn't want to be christian they don't have to be and thats just the way that they want to live. I don't think there is any way to prepare anyone for not being accepted or not accepted as a christian in their social circle. I don't think many kids care anymore whether or not someone is christian or not. Its not as much of a factor in becoming friends with someone or not.

Session 4

For our donation to our program was a trailer. At the beginning of the summer Katie called my dad and asked him if we could borrow our trailer for a trash trailer. As the summer continued and talking to my parents some more they decided it would just be better to donate it to GCCP. And now it belongs to GCCP and not my family. Now we have an amazing tool trailer and a trash trailer to go along with it.

Session 1: Engaging others in the mission

I thought that the ministry that I work for “GCCP” attracted me because I have been very handy with my dad all throughout my life and this job has a lot of hands off work. I also was attracted to it because Katie is a good friend with my Grandmother and also was “Facebook friends” with my Mom. Her status one day was that she needed another intern for the summer so I decided that it would be something to try to do. I really had no idea what I was getting myself into until the day that we started with teams.

Session 2: In Person Resources

For each of our projects we have a volunteer come in from the community. It's always something new and exciting time to work with someone new. Most of our "Project Directors" have a special skill that pertains to the job that we are doing. This helps us because if we are not quite sure what we are doing they can help teach us.
