Press Release

First United Methodist Church of Ferndale
Nov. 5, 2009

Who says you have to be an early riser to have an uplifting experience on Sunday? Not Ferndale First United Methodist Church. Starting November 8, they will begin having a 12:15 p.m. “Sunday Light” service. Sunday Light a contemporary worship experience in a casual atmosphere. They’ll even provide the food and coffee to get you up and going. A light brunch will be served at 12:15 and you’ll sit at comfortable tables so you can continue to munch during the praise and worship.

The service will take place downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Casual attire and attitude are welcome. Praise music will be played with accompanying video projected on a big screen up on the stage. Ferndale First’s pastor, Rev. Rony Veska will deliver the message each week. She ran a similar service this past summer and it was a success. So, the Sunday Light program was built off of this and the previous outdoor Worship on Woodward services. Everyone, no matter of denomination, is welcome to attend. Sleep in. Come as you are.
